A major refurbishment and extension of the Grade II listed former Dickens and Jones department store which provided new flagship retail stores at street level, new office space on upper floors with a large “destination” restaurant at the top. 

Heating and cooling to office areas is via on floor AHU’s feeding conditioned air to the space via movable terminal floor units, thus providing a flexible system to suit any office layout.

Chilled water plant was provided as a packaged plant room delivered in two sections- which resulted in both time and cost savings similar to those of a conventional plant room.

Logistically, the site location was problematic as it bordered on to some of the busiest streets in London; material deliveries had to be planned well in advance so as to keep disruption to a minimum.
